UBCC celebrated World Valentine’s Day and Pohela Falgun
Staff Reporter: The United Bangladeshi Christian Community (UBCC) celebrated World Valentine’s Day and Pohela Falgun in Connecticut. The event was held on Saturday, February 14 (local time), at the Second Congregational Church in Manchester, drawing a large audience.

The evening began with a chorus performance of a traditional Falgun song. UBCC President Nixon Biswas, Vice President Rekha Rozario, and General Secretary Liton Gregory delivered welcome remarks.

Captivating performances by children and teenagers drew significant attention from the audience. Among the young performers, Mandira, Raima, Arshi, Arzun and Odhay performed dance and musical numbers.

Adult performers included Rashida Akhond Lucky, Liton Gregory, Leon Mondol, Kanan Hasan, Tarek, Swapan, Kausholy Ema, Ratna, Briana Biswas, and Rahul. Rokaiya Rekha presented a dance performance. Poetry recitations were delivered by Rawnak Afroze, Estella Sarkar, and Prabha Rozario.

Although such an event had not been organized for some time, the United Bangladeshi Christian Community’s (UBCC) celebration received wide appreciation from attendees.
