Zardari Congratulates Mirza Fakhrul on Presidential Election Victory

Bangla Press Desk: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as president of Bangladesh, expressing hope for stronger bilateral relations between the two countries.In a statement on Thursday, Zardari expressed confidence that Bangladesh would continue to progress and advance the well-being of its people under Mirza Fakhrul’s leadership.

The Pakistani president said Bangladesh and Pakistan shared close bonds rooted in their common history, faith and cultural ties.

He welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral relations and expressed hope that the two countries would expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Zardari said he looked forward to working with Mirza Fakhrul to further strengthen Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and promote greater exchanges and cooperation between the people of the two countries.

He also invited the Bangladeshi president to visit Pakistan at a mutually convenient time, saying the visit would offer an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and deepen cooperation.
