4th solo photography exhibition by Mostafigur Rahman concludes in London

Bangla Press Desk:    The fourth solo photography exhibition of Bangladeshi ‍award winning photographer Muhammad Mostafigur Rahman, titled “Bangladesh in Lens,” concluded in London.

The two-day exhibition was held on 13–14 December at the historic Tower Hamlets Town Hall as part of Bangladesh Heritage Week 2025, jointly organised by the Bangladesh High Commission in London and Tower Hamlets Council.

The exhibition and Bangladesh Heritage Week 2025 were formally inaugurated on 13 December by Abida Islam, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom, and Lutfur Rahman, Mayor of Tower Hamlets Council.

The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of guests, including diplomats, cultural figures, and members of the local community.

A total of 60 photographs were displayed at the exhibition, portraying the natural beauty of riverine Bangladesh, its diverse wildlife, rural life, agriculture-based society, heritage architecture, and tourism potential. Through these images, the photographer presented a multifaceted narrative of Bangladesh’s history, culture, and contemporary realities.

The two-day exhibition drew significant interest from both members of the Bangladeshi diaspora living in London and visitors from various other nationalities. Many attendees shared that the photographs offered them a fresh and insightful perspective on Bangladesh.

Speaking about the exhibition, photographer Mostafigur Rahman said, “My main objective is to present the stories of Bangladesh’s nature, culture, and people to an international audience. It is a matter of great pride for me to showcase the country’s positive and multidimensional identity on foreign soil.”

Notably, “Bangladesh in Lens” marks Mostafigur Rahman’s fourth solo photography exhibition. Previously, his third solo exhibition titled “Echoes of Peace” was held in New York in September.
