Bangla Press Desk: Bangladeshi film star Pori Moni, who enjoys the largest social media following among local celebrities with over 16 million Facebook followers, is set to appear in the 10th episode of the popular podcast “Behind the Fame with RRK”.
In the 100-minute episode, the actress shared some of her most personal reflections, offering a glimpse into a more mature side of her life.
“Now I work with much more thought, which I didn’t do before,” Pori said. “I have changed for my children. I had no savings before, but now I save every month for them. Even if I earn just two taka, my children will be able to enjoy it when they grow up.”
The actress, now mother to Punya and Priyam, expressed her deep maternal instincts and future dreams:
“I want to be the mother of 100 children in total and take care of them. May Allah bless them with wealth so that they can grow into good human beings. Because in today’s world, a lot of money is needed to raise children. The person Pori Moni, or the heroine Pori, may fail in many ways—but as a mother, I will never let myself fail.”
Revealing more about her journey, Pori shared that before entering films, she had enrolled in a dance school but dropped out after being captivated by the performances of renowned dancer Sadia Islam Mou. She also spoke of her versatile skills, mentioning how she cooked beef for nearly 2,500 people during her grandfather’s death anniversary in Barishal—personally supervising the massive preparation.
The episode featuring Pori Moni, hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan, will air on Saturday at 9:00pm on Maasranga Television and Radio Din Raat 93.6 FM.
