Bangladesh envoy presents credentials to Indian president

Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh high commissioner to India M Riaz Hamidullah on Thursday presented his credentials to Indian president Droupadi Murmu at a formal ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Murmu accepted credentials from the newly appointed envoys of Bangladesh, Thailand, Costa Rica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Turkiye and Kazakhstan during the ceremony, according to the Indian president’s office.
A career diplomat, Hamidullah belongs to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service and joined in the Foreign Service in 1995.
Before his current posting in New Delhi, he served as Bangladesh’s high commissioner in Sri Lanka and as ambassador in Netherlands.
Over the course of his diplomatic career, Hamidullah has held various key positions including Secretary (West) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director at the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
He also served in Bangladesh missions in New Delhi and at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
At the foreign ministry headquarters, he worked extensively on multilateral economic affairs, regional cooperation, and bilateral relations involving South Asia and Europe. Source: NE
