Bangla Press Desk: Local Government Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "The things they are talking about now are constitutional reform and constitutional amendment. We have always said that we want to amend the constitution. We have never said about constitutional reform."
He said these things at a program at the National Press Club on Friday (July 17).
The BNP Secretary General said, "Now, many of those in the opposition are trying to excite the people by saying various tasty things. No one understands better than the people. No matter how much we think, the people understand best. They will be the ones who will take the best decision on what we said about amending the constitution?"
He also said, "The people voted for us, what was in the manifesto, and we, BNP, have got the responsibility of state identity today with a two-thirds majority in that manifesto. So I don't think there is any confusion or any leeway there."
Professor Emajuddin Ahmed Research Center and the National Journalists Association jointly organized this memorial service on the occasion of the 6th death anniversary of Professor Emajuddin Ahmed.
At the end of the program, a special prayer was offered to pray for the forgiveness of the soul of the late Professor Emajuddin Ahmed. Source: jugantor
