“December Will Come Again and Again, but Hasina Won’t Return”: Rashed Khan

Banglapress Desk: Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Md Rashed Khan has said that December will return year after year, but Sheikh Hasina will never return to Bangladesh. He also claimed that the Awami League, whose activities are currently banned, has suffered a moral defeat and an ethical collapse.

He made the remarks while responding to questions from journalists on Friday morning (October 9), after visiting the grave of Shaheed Mehedi Hasan Rabbi, senior joint convener of Magura district Chhatra Dal, who was killed during the July–August uprising. The grave is located in the Parnanduali area of Magura town.

Rashed Khan said, “No one from the Awami League in Bangladesh has the courage even to bury Sheikh Hasina.”

He further said that no one in their right mind would believe that the Awami League, which fled to India, would return to Bangladesh to face the gallows.
