Environment minister launches hotline to curb extortion
Bangla Press Desk: Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo has launched a hotline as part of his effort to crack down on extortion, terrorism, and other forms of irregularities in his Feni-3 constituency.
In a Facebook post early Friday, Mintoo wrote, “We are determined to keep the Feni-3 (Sonagazi and Daganbhuiyan) constituency free from extortion, terrorism, and any form of irregularities. Your cooperation is a must to build a safe and beautiful society.”He urged people to speak out against injustice and provide information without fear, assuring that their identities would be kept confidential.
Stating a “zero tolerance” policy against extortion and terrorism, the minister urged the public to dial 01730004844 for lodging complaints.
