Final gazette for the 45th BCS published

Bangla Press Desk: The Ministry of Public Administration has published the final gazette for the 45th BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service) examination, appointing 1,702 candidates to various cadres.
A notification to this effect was issued late Wednesday night (October 14).
Those appointed have been instructed to join their respective offices—as designated by the ministry or division overseeing their specific cadre—by November 1.
The notification states that these appointments were made based on the results of the 45th BCS Examination-2022 and the recommendations provided by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) on December 14, 2025. The appointees will serve under the 9th grade of the National Pay Scale 2026, with a salary range of 44,000 to 105,900 BDT.
The recruitment process for the 45th BCS began with the publication of a circular in November 2022. The preliminary examination was held in May 2023, followed by the written examination in January 2024. Subsequently, oral examinations (viva voce) were conducted in phases, beginning on July 8, 2025. Finally, on November 26, 2025, the Public Service Commission (PSC) announced the final results, recommending 1,807 candidates for various cadre positions.
The final appointment gazette was published this Wednesday—more than 10 months after the initial recommendations were made.
This pattern of prolonged delay is also affecting candidates of the 46th and 47th BCS examinations.
For the 46th BCS, the final results—announced in February of this year—provisionally recommended 1,457 candidates; they have now spent 235 days awaiting their appointment gazette.
Meanwhile, the final results for the 47th BCS were published on June 28 of this year, with 1,320 candidates recommended for cadre positions and 201 for non-cadre roles. Although more than four months have passed, the government has yet to issue a gazette. However, such delays are not a new occurrence. The final results for the 41st BCS were published in August 2023, while the recruitment gazette was issued 231 days later, in March 2024.
For the 43rd BCS, final recommendations were made in December 2023, but it took approximately 294 days—until October 2024—for the first gazette to be published.
The process for the 44th BCS was somewhat faster; following the publication of the final results in November 2025, appointment letters were issued in February 2026.
Additionally, it took 216 days from the publication of the final results of the 40th BCS to the issuance of the recruitment gazette.
Meanwhile, for the special BCS (48th) examination for physicians, it took approximately 133 days from the publication of the final results to the issuance of the gazette. The recruitment gazette for the 49th special BCS, held for teachers, was published on September 30, 2026.
