Bangla Press Desk: Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain has expressed utter disappointment over a range of issues, including the failure to prevent push-in, ongoing border killing, diplomatic setback with India and the recent tightening of visa policies by several countries.
“Push-ins by India are going on, but we failed to prevent the spate despite persistent efforts. We have already sent letters to the Indian authorities through an official channel and are now trying to resolve the crisis by involving a consular mechanism,” he said.
While addressing a press conference over the contemporary issues at his ministry office in Dhaka on Tuesday, he said that through proper verification, the government has been able to deport some people who were pushed in by India deliberately.
About the deportation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the foreign adviser said diplomatic efforts are ongoing in this regard, but no official response has yet been received from the Indian side.
