Government Terminates Contracts of Nine Secretaries

Bangla Press Desk:   The government has cancelled the contractual appointment of nine secretaries, according to nine separate notifications issued Monday night.

The secretaries’ remaining terms in office under the contracts have been cancelled with immediate effect, the notifications read.

Public Administration Ministry Deputy Secretary Mohammad Noor-e-Alam signed the notifications.

The list of secretaries includes: Dr Md Saidur Rahman, secretary at Health Services Division; Shish Haider Chowdhury, secretary at the Information and Communication Technology Division; Mohammad Yousuf, chairman of Land Appeal Board; Siddique Zobair, director general of the National Planning and Development Academy; Dr Md Mokhles ur Rahman, member of the Planning Commission; Dr Quayyum Ara Begum, member of the Planning Commission; MA Akmall Hossain Azad, member of the Planning Commission; Mamtaz Ahmed, senior secretary of the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, and Sharifa Khan, alternate executive director at the World Bank.
