Govt refutes report on construction of luxury flats for ministers
Bangla Press Desk: The government has rejected a recent report published in a national daily about the government’s decision to build 9,030 square feet flats for ministers, including swimming pools and other facilities, describing it as baseless, misleading, and untrue.
In a statement issued by the housing and public works ministry on Thursday, the government said no such project had been approved and that the plans or decisions mentioned in the report did not reflect the government’s position.
According to the clarification, while the Public Works Department had submitted a proposal of this nature at an earlier stage, the relevant ministry did not consider or approve the project.
The government said the publication of such reports was creating public confusion and damaging its image.
The statement urged media outlets to refrain from publishing distorted or inaccurate information in the future.
