Iran executes six militants accused of ties to Israel

Bangla Press Desk:  Iran on Saturday executed six militants accused of ties to Israel and a Kurdish militant over the killing of a cleric, Iranian news agencies reported.

The official Iran Republic News Agency said six “separatist terrorist elements” with ties to Israel were executed.

The six were accused of “carrying out a series of armed operations and bombings” in Iran’s Khuzestan province on the border with Iraq.

The men allegedly “confessed to planning and carrying out sabotage actions such as making and planting bombs, exploding a gas station in Khorramshahr, armed attacks on banks, throwing grenades at a military centre and shooting at mosques,” the news agency said.
