Mehedul Islam appointed PS-2 to Prime Minister

Bangla Press Desk:  The government has appointed Md Mehedul Islam as Private Secretary (PS)-2 to the Prime Minister on a contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday (18 February).According to the notification, the appointment has been made on condition that he relinquishes any professional, business or employment ties with any government, semi-government or private institution or organisation.He will receive a salary at the highest step of Grade-4 of the national pay scale.

The contract will take effect from the date of his joining and will remain valid for the tenure of the Prime Minister or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier, the notification said.

Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined through a formal agreement, it added.Source: daily Sun
