Saudi Defense Minister awards Pakistan Army Chief King Abdulaziz Medal
Bangla Press Desk: Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman decorated Chief of the Pakistani Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir with King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class.
This is in line with the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in honor of his outstanding contributions to strengthen the strategic relationship and cooperation between the two nations.
The honoring was held during a reception at the ministry in Riyadh on Sunday.
Prince Khalid congratulated Field Marshal Munir on his appointment as Pakistan’s Chief of Defense Forces, wishing him continued success in his new role.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the historical Saudi-Pakistani relations and the strategic cooperation in the defense field. They discussed efforts to establish the foundations of international peace and security, as well as issues of common interest.
Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, Advisor to Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, and several other officials attended the ceremony.
