Shahidul Alam released from Israel, en route to Istanbul

Bangla Press Desk: A flight carrying Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam took off from Israel this afternoon (10 October), according to Turkish sources cited in a statement from the Chief Adviser's Facebook page. The Turkish Airlines flight, TK 6921, is expected to land in Istanbul around 2:30pm local time, the statement added. Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his cooperation in facilitating Shahidul Alam's release and repatriation from Israel.
