Tahsan hints at retiring from music
Bangla Press Desk: Popular singer Tahsan Khan has been captivating music lovers for more than two decades. This time, he has hinted at ending his long career. While performing in Australia as part of his silver jubilee tour, the artiste recently told fans that he was “slowly winding down” his time in music. Addressing the audience, he said: “This is my last concert. I will slowly wind up my music career. My daughter is growing up – is it good to stand on stage with a beard and do such a thing?” The comments have sparked speculation about his retirement, although Tahsan stopped short of making a definitive announcement. His social media accounts have also been deactivated, adding weight to the assumption that he may be stepping away from public life. Despite this announcement, Tahsan’s Facebook and Instagram accounts could not be found even after much searching.
Although he has not formally announced his retirement, Tahsan’s recent remarks suggest his presence in the music industry may become less frequent in the years ahead. Tahsan started his musical career through the famous alternative rock band “Black” in 1998. Later he had left the band to pursue his solo music career. His first solo album is “Kothopokothon” which was released in 2004. This star has sung several popular songs for the band “Black”. In 2012 Tahsan formed a new band called “Tahsan and the Sufis”. He has his own studio called “Kritodaser Abase”. The songs “Chokhe Chokhe Kotha Hoto”, “Jodi Konodin”, “Chole Jao Tobe”, “Alo”, “Chhuye Dile Mon”, “Kotodur”, “Prem Tumi” still sway the hearts of fans. In addition to his music, Tahsan has built a significant acting career since 2004, appearing in more than 100 dramas and films. He was appointed a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2021 and recently took on hosting duties for Family Feud Bangladesh. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
