Travel ban imposed on ex-principal secretary Abul Kalam Azad

Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Monday imposed a travel ban on former principal secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office and former lawmaker Md Abul Kalam Azad, amid an ongoing investigation into allegations of irregularities and corruption.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).According to the petition, Azad is currently under investigation over allegations involving various irregularities and corruption.Reliable sources indicated that he might attempt to flee abroad, making it necessary to impose a travel restriction to ensure a fair and proper inquiry.Source: daily Sun
