After an absolute victory in the 13th national election, BNP formed the government under the leadership of party chairman Tarique Rahman on February 17. The cabinet formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has 25 ministers and 24 state ministers. In addition, 10 people associated with BNP have been appointed as advisors.
Since then, there has been discussion about who will be the Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Chip Whip. It is learned that there is no end to discussion and curiosity among BNP leaders and activists as well as the general public on this issue.
Two leaders from Noakhali are under discussion for the post of the ruling party's Chip Whip. According to several reliable sources, the names of Noakhali-2 MP Zainul Abdin Faruk and Noakhali-3 MP Barkat Ullah Bulu are being heard.
Zaynul Abdin Faruk is a 6-time MP. He was the Chief Whip of the opposition party in the 9th National Parliament. As a result, his name is in the discussion as a possible Chief Whip of the ruling party this time. On the other hand, Barkat Ullah Bulu is a 5-time MP. He was the Commerce Advisor during the BNP government in 2001. Bulu was also in the discussion of becoming a minister this time. However, since there is no place in the cabinet, his name is now also in the discussion for the post of Chief Whip. Source: daily Sun
