Writ seeks postponement of 50th BCS preliminary exam
Bangla Press Desk: A petition has been filed with the High Court seeking a directive to postpone the preliminary examination of the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
Lawyer Advocate Nazmus Sakib filed the writ on Wednesday (28 January) on behalf of the candidates.
The 50th BCS preliminary examination is scheduled to take place on 30 January, with more than 290,000 candidates expected to participate in the examination.
According to the Public Service Commission (PSC), the exam will be held simultaneously from 10:00am to 12:00pm at centres in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh.
On 26 November last year, the PSC had issued a circular for the 50th BCS exam. Applications opened on 4 December and closed on 31 December.
