Specifically, she aspires to take on a role similar to the iconic Hollywood character ‘Maleficent.’
In a recent cover interview for *Vogue India*—her first appearance on the magazine’s cover in eight years—Katrina discussed her career, motherhood, family, and future plans.
During the interview, Katrina mentioned that she is in no rush to return to films.
However, when she does return to acting, she wants to take on a role that offers her the chance to present herself in a completely different light. On this, she remarked, “I think I could play the character of Maleficent really well.” Meanwhile, Katrina also spoke about her new experience of motherhood; spending time with her son, Vihan, has become one of the most significant parts of her life.
Praising her husband, Vicky Kaushal, the actress shared that he is an exceptional father. Even after long hours of work, he makes time for the family and ensures Katrina has the space to be herself.
Following the birth of her child, Katrina also faced criticism on social media regarding changes to her physical appearance. Addressing this, she stated that she refuses to let the opinions of others distract her from this beautiful phase of her life.
Katrina remains conscious of her fitness.
However, she is not interested in the pressure to ‘bounce back’ quickly. Instead, she intends to reach her fitness goals at her own pace, while remaining attuned to the needs of her body.
Beyond acting, Katrina is also occupied with her cosmetics brand, ‘Kay Beauty.’ For now, her primary focus is maintaining a balance between her family and her professional life.
