Former MP Selima Ahmad Meri passes away
Former Member of Parliament Selima Ahmad Meri.
Bangla Press Desk: Former Member of Parliament from Comilla-2 constituency Selima Ahmad Meri has passed away. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.
She died at 7:40 pm on Sunday (June 21) while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Thailand.
Selima Ahmad was elected from Comilla-2 (Homna-Titas) constituency in the 11th National Parliament election on the nomination of Awami League.
Hearing the news of her death, a shadow of grief fell among the leaders and activists.
Comilla North District Jubo League Member Secretary Sarwar Hossain Babu wrote in his Facebook post, former Member of Parliament from Comilla-2 constituency Selima Ahmad Meri apa passed away at 7:40 pm today in a hospital in Thailand (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un).
He expressed deep sorrow over the death of Selima Ahmad Meri and prayed for the forgiveness of her soul and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
