Police Reshuffle: 10 SPs Transferred in 48 Hours

Bangla Press Desk:  The government has reshuffled the posts of 10 officials at the rank of superintendent of police (SP) within the past two days.

The Ministry of Home Affairs transferred four of them on Wednesday, while the other six were transferred on Tuesday, bdnews24.com reports.

In the latest order, Kishoreganj SP Farhad Hossain has been attached to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), with Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Rahman replacing him in his old post.

Rangpur SP Marufat Hussain has been transferred to the Tourist Police, while Mozammel Haque of the Armed Police Battalion will take his place in Rangpur.

On Tuesday, Sherpur SP Kamrul Islam was posted to the Khulna Range DIG Office and Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Zahirul Islam was sent to Sherpur; Natore SP Abdul Wahab was transferred to the Armed Police Battalion, while PBI's Shariful Haque was posted to Natore; and Khulna SP Mahbubur Rahman was transferred to the PBI, while Khulna Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Tajul Islam replaced him.
