Pre-registration for Hajj 2027 begins
Bangla Press Desk: The pre-registration process has begun for those wishing to perform the holy Hajj in 2027. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially started this process from Wednesday (July 1).
According to the ministry, Hajj registration must be completed by September 26 as per the schedule set by the Saudi Arabian government. Therefore, interested pilgrims have been urged to complete pre-registration within the stipulated time.
Earlier, the official schedule for Hajj 2027 was released at a ceremony held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 29. Bangladesh's Minister of Religious Affairs Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) was present at the ceremony as an invited guest. Assistant Minister of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah officially handed over the Hajj schedule to him.
According to the published schedule, a bilateral Hajj agreement will be signed between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia on November 8. After that, the issuance of Hajj visas will start from January 28, 2027.
Flights carrying Hajj pilgrims are scheduled to begin from April 8. The holy Hajj will be held on May 15, 2027, subject to the sighting of the moon. Source: jugantor
