Prime Minister Holds Views-Exchange Session with Bangladeshi Diaspora in Malaysia
Bangla Press Desk: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday night joined a views-exchange meeting with Bangladeshi expatriates shortly after arriving in Malaysia.
The event was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur around 10:45pm local time.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman addressed the gathering as the chief guest. His wife, Zubaida Rahman, was also present.
Among others present at the event were members of the cabinet accompanying the prime minister, his advisers, and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury.
Earlier, a red carpet was rolled out as the prime minister arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim.
A special Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the prime minister, his wife, and the accompanying delegation landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 8:45pm local time (6:45pm Bangladesh time).
At the exclusive VVIP terminal, Bunga Raya Complex, the prime minister was received by Malaysia's Religious Affairs Minister Zulkifli Hasan and his wife.
