Probe report on deaths of six newborns due soon: Hospital authorities

Bangla Press Desk:  Ad-din Medical College Hospital authorities are set to publish the report of the investigation committee formed into the death of six newborns in a neonatal ward.The report will be published on Sunday afternoon, said HR and Company Affairs Director Tariqul Islam Mukul.

"We will hold a press conference in the afternoon and publish the report of our investigation committee," he said.

The government has also formed a high-level three-member panel headed by a joint secretary to probe the incident, according to a bdnews24.com report.

The committee has been asked to submit its report within three days. However, it is not yet clear whether the panel has submitted its report.

On May 27, six newborns died in a post-operative ward at the hospital. The causes of their deaths have yet to be confirmed.

A case has been filed at Ramna Police Station over the incident.

Police have already questioned several people from the hospital administration in connection with the case.
