Transactions at two banks suspended for 2 days

Bangla Press Desk: Transactions at Sonali Bank and Standard Islami Bank will be temporarily suspended to facilitate updates to their core banking system software and databases. The Bangladesh Bank announced this in a notification issued on Wednesday. According to the notification, transactions at Sonali Bank will remain suspended from 12:00 AM on October 15 until 11:59 PM on October 17. Meanwhile, transactions at Standard Islami Bank will be suspended from 12:00 AM on October 20 until 11:59 PM on October 23.
During these specified periods, customers of both banks will be unable to conduct any transactions. This decision has been taken to ensure that the software and database updates can be completed without any interruptions.
Both banks have also issued notices informing their customers that all transactions will be suspended during the designated times. Consequently, customers who may have urgent financial needs should consider completing their necessary transactions before these scheduled periods begin.
