Bangla Press Desk: Two young men have reportedly hacked a bKash agent with a machete and made off with Tk 350,000 from his shop in Dhaka's Adabor.
Police said the attack took place around 11am on Tuesday at the agent's shop at the entrance to Road No. 7 in Shekhertek.
The victim, Shafiqul Islam, 39, is currently being treated at the National Orthopaedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (NITOR) in the capital.
His elder brother Muslim Hossain, relaying what Shafiqul told him, said two youths entered the shop and tried to grab cash from the till by force.
When Shafiqul resisted, they hacked at him with a machete and took all the money, he added.
Hossain learned from his brother that the cash register contained roughly Tk 350,000 at the time of the incident.

Adabor Police Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman said the attackers also took a mobile phone along with the cash.
CCTV footage from surrounding areas has been collected.
"Initially, the suspects have been identified. Efforts are under way to arrest them," he added.
