Bill Gates to Testify in Epstein Probe, Pam Bondi Testimony Postponed
Bill Gates and Pam Bondi
Noman Sabit: Bill Gates is set to testify before Congress in June as part of the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while former Attorney General Pam Bondi’s testimony has been postponed.
According to sources from the House Oversight Committee, Gates will participate in a closed-door interview on June 10. He has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
Meanwhile, although subpoenaed in March, Pam Bondi will not appear for her scheduled deposition on April 14. The Justice Department stated that since she no longer serves as Attorney General, she is not obligated to testify in an official capacity.
The committee said it will coordinate with Bondi’s personal legal counsel to determine next steps. Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia stated that Bondi must testify promptly, warning that failure to comply could lead to contempt of Congress charges.
Gates’ name appears multiple times in Justice Department documents related to Epstein, though such mentions do not imply criminal wrongdoing.
A spokesperson for Gates said he welcomes the opportunity to appear before the committee and is prepared to answer all questions to assist with the investigation.
Jeffrey Epstein died in prison in 2019 after being arrested on sex trafficking charges.
