Brianna Biswas captivates Connecticut audience with her solo performance
Staff Reporter: Emerging young singer Brianna Biswas enthralled the Bangladeshi expatriate community in Connecticut with her solo musical performance. On Saturday (October 25), she performed a series of popular songs at her solo concert held at the auditorium of the Second Congregational Church in Manchester, drawing a large crowd of enthusiastic attendees.

The event was organized by Brianna’s family and fans. In addition to general audience members, people from various professions and communities attended Brianna’s first solo concert in Connecticut.
The show began at 7 p.m. and continued until 11 p.m. Brianna mesmerized the audience with her lively renditions of popular Bangla, Hindi, and English songs. Before beginning her performance, Brianna said, 'I am truly delighted to see everyone who loves my music gathered here tonight. It is because of your love and support that I can sing freely on stages like this.'

During the event, Brianna’s parents, Nixon and Jolly Biswas, shared heartfelt memories from her childhood and early musical journey. Others who spoke at the program included her music teachers from Connecticut Kanan Hasan, Rashida Akhand Lucky, Shanta Nag, and Kausholy Ema.
The event was hosted and emceed by Shahriar Rahman. In addition to Brianna’s performance, the evening also featured musical numbers by Rashida Akhand Lucky, Liton Gregory, and Leon Mondol, a flute recital by Rani Talukder and a poetry recitation by Molla Bahauddin Pial. Gauranga Bairagi accompanied the artists on the tabla.

It is worth noting that about 20 years ago, Brianna’s parents, Nixon and Jolly Biswas, immigrated to the United States with their daughter. They enrolled her in music school at the age of four and a half, and since then, Brianna has continued her rigorous musical training. The rising young singer now hopes to establish herself as a prominent artist among the Bangladeshi diaspora in the United States.
