Bangla Press Desk: President Donald Trump has now printed his own photo on the United States passport. The Trump administration has unveiled this special limited edition passport called the 'Patriot Passport' to mark the 250th anniversary of America's independence.
The new design features Trump's photo, a depiction of the Declaration of Independence, and his signature. It will be available to US citizens for a limited time starting July 6. However, Trump's photo has already sparked widespread discussion.
On Friday (June 26), Trump released a photo of the new passport design on social media. It shows Trump standing with his fists clenched in front of a Resolute Desk on one page. The Declaration of Independence is on the back. His signature is below.
The US State Department said that this special edition passport will be available for a limited time starting July 6 and while supplies last.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social, the new US passport - which says, "Welcome, but behave!" However, this sentence did not appear in the photos he published.
The White House also shared a photo of the passport on its X (former Twitter) account, referring to it as the "Patriot Passport".
This special passport is currently open only to US citizens. However, it cannot be applied for online or by mail. Interested parties must apply in person at the passport agency in Washington, DC, and make an appointment.
The current US passport uses images of the moon landing, the Statue of Liberty, as well as US history and national symbols. However, no clear information has been given yet on whether applicants will be able to choose a regular passport from this new special edition. Source: jugantor
