10 Bangladeshis Held in Nepal Capital for Illegal Stay
Bangla Press Desk: A total of 10 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by police in the Thamel area of Kathmandu for allegedly residing illegally and engaging in suspicious activities.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku apprehended the individuals on Monday.The arrests were made at several locations, including Hotel Dhaka Express, Hotel De Bheda, and Hotel Al Rahman, following reports of foreign nationals living in the area without legal authorization.
The individuals have been identified as Fahima Aktar Hasan, 46, Mahamud, 48, Mahabub Hasan, 45, Repon Mahmud, 49, MD-Keramot Ali Khan, 30, Sahidur Rahman, 30, MD Khalilur Rahman, 50, Arifur Rahman, 28, MD Maruf Mridha, 42, and Mohammad Hanif Mia, 64. They were residing in Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.
Acting on intelligence regarding the illegal stay of these foreign nationals, police conducted the operation to take them into custody.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office stated that all 10 detainees have been transferred to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan for further investigation and necessary legal action.
