13 Rising Hockey Stars Leave for Japan
Bangla Press Desk: A 13-member Bangladesh women’s hockey squad and two officials departed Moqi on Monday, heading straight to Japan after their unbeaten Junior Asia Cup triumph to launch their Asian Games campaign.
The Bangladesh contingent boarded China Eastern Airlines flight MU 6982 from Kikihar (Sanjiazi) Airport at 10:20pm, bound for Shanghai. The flight is scheduled to arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 1:20am on 15 September, according to a Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) press release.The Junior Tigresses head to the Asian Games high on confidence after being crowned unbeaten Challengers champions at the Junior Asia Cup in China. They will now seek to turn that hard-earned experience and winning momentum into a strong showing at Asia’s biggest multi-sport stage.
Nagoya will host the Asian Games hockey competition.
The remaining five players and other officials will leave Bangladesh on 15 September and join the squad in Japan.
