BARC Assistant Director Arrested over Youth Development Exam Leak

Bangla Press Desk:  The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Sohag Fakir, an assistant director at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), in connection with the leak of questions for a recruitment examination held by the Department of Youth Development.

He was arrested on Tuesday (October 20) night from the Badarpasha area under Rajoir Police Station in Madaripur.

A senior official of the CID’s Cyber Police Unit confirmed the arrest.

Earlier, SRB-3 arrested seven people, including employees of various government offices, in connection with the question paper leak. Five of the seven arrested individuals are government employees.

In addition, two employees of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) have been temporarily suspended over the leak of questions for the recruitment examination for assistant youth development officers at the Department of Youth Development.
