Disha provided crucial information during two rounds of remand; she has now been sent to jail.

BanglaPress Desk: In the case filed regarding the recovery of the body of former Air Force officer K M Tahsif Sauri (27) from the Turag River near Rajabari Ghat, police have interrogated a suspect, Jerika Tasnim Disha (19), over two separate remand periods totaling seven days.
Following the second three-day remand period, she was produced before the court on Friday (November 6). Subsequently, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Aminul Islam Junaid ordered her to be sent to jail.

This information was provided in a report submitted to the court by the investigating officer, Police Inspector (Unarmed) Firoz Uddin of the Tongi River Police Outpost.
The report states that during interrogation, Disha revealed that on the night of October 27—prior to the incident—she had accompanied Tahsif to the 'Nest Bar and Restaurant' in Uttara. Earlier that evening, they had spent considerable time together, traveling to various locations on a motorcycle.
Furthermore, Disha provided several crucial details regarding the incident; these are currently being verified and kept confidential for the sake of the investigation. Her statements have been cross-referenced with those of another suspect, Ahmed Shahriar Reza Deep. Additionally, an analysis of Tahsif’s mobile phone call records confirms that he had spoken with Disha on multiple occasions.

Preliminary investigations suggest Disha’s involvement in the incident. The investigation against her is ongoing, and it is deemed essential that she remain in custody until the inquiry is concluded.

The report further notes that if granted bail, Disha might abscond, thereby hindering the investigation. To ensure a proper investigation and uncover the truth behind the incident, it may be necessary to place her on further remand for additional questioning.

As no lawyer was present to represent Disha during the hearing, the judge ordered her to be sent to jail.

Previously, the court had granted a four-day remand on November 1, followed by a second three-day remand on November 4. In this case, a four-day remand was granted on November 30 for the questioning of Shahriar Reza Deep (23)—a friend of Tahsif Sauri—followed by another three-day remand on December 3.
