PM extends financial support to mosques, temples in constituency

Bangla Press Desk:  Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has donated to various mosques and temples under his Dhaka-17 constituency.

Besides mosques, the PM also donated to temples on the occasion of Durga Puja.The PM handed over the cheques to the representatives of these organisations at his office in the capital’s Gulshan on Friday.

During this time, 28 mosques under Dhaka-17 constituency received cheques worth Tk247,000 each, while 10 temples received Tk3 lakh each, totalling Tk30 lakh.The financial assistance was provided to help religious organisations to operate and secure the arrangement of the upcoming Durga Puja.

The event was presided over by PM’s Political Adviser and BNP acting secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
