Bangladesh 192/3 after strong session from Mominul & Mushfiqur

Bangla Press Desk:  Bangladesh reached 192 for the loss of three wickets at tea on Day 1 of the second Test in Mirpur, thanks to a solid session from experienced batters Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim.

The hosts, who began the session having lost three wickets in the first session, added 92 runs in the second session (31 overs) without further loss. 

Mominul, playing his customary anchor role, reached a half-century off 92 balls. Meanwhile, in his 100th Test match, Mushfiqur was unbeaten on 48 off 108 balls. The pair’s partnership amassed 97 runs off 206 deliveries.

Luck also favoured the duo in this session: fielders missed two close chances in what looked like a potentially difficult spell of bowling and turn.

Bangladesh now look to build on this platform and push for a first-innings lead against Ireland.
