Five-day residential camp announced for selected cricketers

Bangla Press Desk: In continuation of creating real opportunities at the club level for hidden cricket talents across the country, Ace Sports Network has announced the ‘Shopno Jatra Talent Hunt’ residential camp. The 5-day training camp for the selected cricketers will be held on October 29, 30, 31, and November 1 and 2.

Earlier, more than seven thousand video applications were submitted from all over the country for the Shopno Jatra trial. From there, experts screened the entries and called over four hundred talented cricketers to the two-day direct trial held at the Dhanmondi Sports Club ground in Dhaka. Several former and current national team stars were present at the trial, which created special enthusiasm among the young players. In addition, coaches and officials from 13 partner clubs of Ace Sports Network participated in the event and observed the players’ skills through various drills.

The top 35 players selected from the Shopno Jatra trial will receive training in various areas, including batting, bowling, fielding, game awareness, fitness, and mental resilience, under specialist coaches at this residential camp. Already, several clubs from the Dhaka League have shown interest in the performances of the selected cricketers. Based on performance at the end of the camp, there may be opportunities for club placement, which will open the door for talented players to play directly at the Dhaka club level.
