Messi’s condolence message on the death of a Spanish footballer

BanglaPress Desk: Jesús de Miguel, a striker for the club CD Tenerife, has passed away after sustaining severe injuries in a collision with an opposing goalkeeper during a match in Spain’s second division. His tragic death has cast a pall of gloom over the entire football world.
Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has expressed his condolences following the death of the 30-year-old footballer.
Sharing a photo of De Miguel on his Instagram story, Messi wrote, "No words... My deepest condolences to his family and friends; I wish them great strength during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace." He also extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.
Several other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Manchester United, have also expressed their condolences. His passing has left the international football community in mourning.
During a match between CD Tenerife and FC Andorra last Monday, De Miguel collapsed on the pitch following a collision with the Andorra goalkeeper. He was immediately removed from the field.
The goalkeeper involved in the incident was shown a red card and sent off. Broadcast footage captured the distressing sight of his teammates in tears on the pitch.
Deeply shaken by the untimely passing of De Miguel, CD Tenerife issued an emotional statement: "We are shattered by grief. With tears in our throats and struggling to believe this is real, it is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic death of our player, Jesús de Miguel Almeida."
"We have no words to offer comfort; there is nothing in this world that can alleviate such deep sorrow and the void left behind," the club added.
According to a report by the British newspaper *Daily Mail*, De Miguel suffered a cardiac arrest while being transported to the hospital. Although doctors were able to resuscitate him, his neurological condition deteriorated severely. He breathed his last at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, November 3, while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
