Pakistan Hockey team set to arrive early for Bangladesh Series
Bangla Press Desk: The Pakistan national hockey team will arrive in Dhaka earlier than planned to gear up for their upcoming three-match series against Bangladesh. Initially expected on November 11, the team will now land in the capital around 2:00 am on Sunday (Bangladesh time), gaining a couple of extra days to settle in and train.
Led by captain Imad Butt, the Pakistan side will fly out of Lahore on November 8. The players have just wrapped up their training camp, with a short break to visit their families before the tour. Head coach Tahir Zaman has been sharpening the team’s strategy—placing particular emphasis on defense, penalty corners, and shootouts—while reviewing recent match footage to address weaknesses.
All members of the squad are reported to be fully fit and ready for action. Once in Dhaka, the visitors are expected to begin practice sessions from Sunday at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
The three-match series, scheduled for November 13, 14, and 16, is expected to deliver competitive hockey as both sides look to build rhythm and confidence ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.
