Salahuddin set to step down from BCB role

Bangla Press Desk:  Bangladesh national team’s senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin is set to resign from his post, citing personal reasons, a source close to the development confirmed to Daily Sun on Tuesday night. His contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) runs until November 2027.

It is understood that the upcoming home series against Ireland will be his final assignment with the national side. Salahuddin, who rejoined the BCB setup in November last year, is expected to submit his resignation letter on Wednesday.

With nearly 20 years of coaching experience, Salahuddin earlier worked as the national team’s assistant and fielding coach from 2006 to 2010.

He later served as a specialist coach at the BCB National Cricket Academy during 2010–2011, before taking charge of Singapore as head coach in 2014, leading them in the ICC World Cricket League Division 4.

Holding an ACC–Cricket Australia Level 3 coaching accreditation, Salahuddin is considered one of Bangladesh’s most successful homegrown coaches, having steered several teams to championship victories in both the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.
