5th National Squash Championship kicks off at Bashundhara Sports City

Bangla Press Desk:  The 5th National Squash Championship 2025 has begun with a grand opening ceremony at Bashundhara Sports City. The tournament will run from 13 to 16 October, with 180 competitors taking part.

The event was inaugurated on Monday afternoon, 13 October, at the squash court of Zulcan Indoor Arena in Bashundhara Sports City.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain officially inaugurated the competition by releasing balloons and unveiling the tournament jersey.

Among those present were Brigadier General G M Kamrul Islam, General Secretary of the Federation; Fayez Rahman, Director of Urmi Group; Abdul Bari, Media Adviser to the Chairman of Bashundhara Group; and Major (Retd) Mohsinul Karim, Director of Bashundhara Sports City, along with senior officials, former and current players, and guardians.

The four-day tournament is being held in a round-robin league format, with the final scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Bashundhara Sports City.
