Bulbul plans to take cricket to madrasas

Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul said on Tuesday that the new board plans to take cricket beyond traditional institutions by introducing the sport in madrasas across the country.
“There are millions of students in madrasas. If some of them can come into cricket, that would be a great addition. We are making arrangements for that,” Bulbul told reporters during a celebratory dinner.
He added that the initiative was part of the BCB’s broader effort to widen the game’s grassroots base.
“We haven’t had detailed discussions yet, but since we’ve planned it, we’ll certainly try to implement it. For now, it will be in a short format,” the BCB president said. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
